Structure/construction (Québec et Ontario)/Structural/Construction Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare design plans, analyses, calculations, etc., in accordance with codes and standards in structural optimization, formwork, temporary structures, cranes, etc.
• Prepare preliminary designs and cost estimates to assist the pre‑construction department with bid proposals.
• Develop creative construction methodologies to help win and execute projects.
• Provide operational support by organizing planning and kick‑off meetings, inspecting work on site, transferring engineering and logistics bid information to the project team, and effectively assessing project progress and ensuring safety.
• Take ownership of ongoing projects and support teams to minimize risks on current and future projects, learn from past experiences, and implement best practices.
• Act as a resource person to resolve technical issues.
