Student Safety Official

Purpose:

The Student Safety Official acts as a community ambassador to students, faculty, staff, and guests of York University. Student Safety Officials are customer service and community oriented. Staff conduct nightly audits of campus lighting, campus phones, and Automatic Door Openers (ADOs). During operational hours, Student Safety Officials provide general information and directions, as needed by community members. they provide information about resources available to the community through goSAFE and other service providers at the University. Upon request, Student Safety Officials also accompany customers, on foot, or by golf cart (please note: golf cart use is restricted to Keele campus), to, and from, any on campus destination.
