Reuters wants an experienced journalist with impeccable news judgment to manage the daily, breaking news file in sub-Saharan Africa across all formats — text, video and pictures.
The Breaking & Daily News Editor will oversee our response to breaking news events, from first snaps, pictures and live video coverage to fast, additional content such as personal stories and explainers. They are also responsible for daily news coverage, from set-piece events like elections and summits to viral-worthy, slice-of-life stories.
Reporting to the Sub-Saharan Africa Editor, this role is central to setting editorial priorities for the day and ensuring timely, accurate, and high-impact coverage that meets the needs of Reuters' global clients.
