JOB TITLE: School Bus Driver Aide
Job Summary: The job of School Bus Driver Aide is done for the purpose/s of assisting the bus driver in the supervision of students while on the bus; assists students in the use of transportation equipment and facilities.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, wheelchair lifts, tie downs, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safe transport of students.
• Assists bus drivers for the purpose of providing and monitoring specialized treatments for medically fragile students.
• Monitors students for the purpose of providing a safe environment while aboard the bus.
• Administers first aid and medication as directed for the purpose of providing appropriate care for medically fragile students.
• Assists students for the purpose of ensuring that the proper techniques are utilized in the loading and unloading of students and the proper use of safety equipment.
