The Substitute School Nurse serves as a healthcare provider and support professional during the absence of the Certified School Nurse or Registered Nurse. The substitute nurse ensures students' immediate health needs are addressed and supports the continuation of health-related practices in accordance with district policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
  
• Current CPR-AED Certification
  
• Computer literacy and ability to use current medical technology
  
• Experience in pediatric, school, adolescent, or community nursing preferred
  
• Vision and Hearing Screening Certification (preferred; training available)
  
• CSN Certification and Baccalaureate Degree (preferred but not required)

Direct Supervisor:
Principal or other designated administrator
