Job Description

Summer Student - Seasonal Landscaper
BGIS at Parc Downsview Park is hiring Seasonal Parks Workers in Horticulture for Summer 2026. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for working outdoors, an ability to work in a team environment, and a strong interest in the development and maintenance of green spaces.
Contract dates: May-August 2026
Work arrangement: in-person, at Parc Downsview Park in downtown Toronto
Hours: full-time, Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and install ornamental gardens and seasonal planters, which includes watering, weeding, deadheading, and pruning
Assist in the restoration of a 2-acre perennial garden bed
Park sanitation
Provide staff support for outdoor events and stewardship activities
Additional tasks in other areas of park operations arise occasionally (ie. turf care, urban orc...
