Summer Students - Grounds Maintenance Assistants

February 25, 2026THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD requires the following SUMMER STUDENTS - GROUNDS MAINTENANCE ASSISTANTS (2 POSITIONS) TERM: May 11, 2026 to August 28, 2026 (approximate) LOCATIONS: Position #1: Based at Madawaska Valley District School, Barry's Bay, ON Position #2: Based at Fellowes High School, Pembroke, ON SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday DUTIES: Assist grounds maintenance personnel with grass cutting and trimming. Will also be required to assist custodial staff with moving furniture. POSITION SUMMARY: Working under the general supervision of the Facility Services Foreperson or Area Supervisor, candidates will assist personnel with grounds maintenance duties. Applicants should be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn, able to follow both oral and written instructions and able to work well both individually and with others.
