What you'll do

• Cut, shape, and edge lenses to fit frames based on prescriptions or exact specifications.
• Operate manual and automatic edging machines with accuracy and care.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair eyewear — from lens replacement to frame adjustments.
• Smooth and finish glass edges using automated abrasive belts.
• Repair or replace damaged frames and components for customers.
• Operate optical measuring equipment to determine bridge size, eye size, pupillary distance, vertex distance, and optical centers for custom eyewear.
