Manages projects against plans to ensure budget, schedule, and quality are met and projects are completed as per design requirements/specifications. Ensures that staffing, equipment, and materials are available according to project timelines. Manages work performance on projects to ensure craft workers are following project rules and company work and safety procedures. Reviews, negotiates, and approves change orders. Develops and implements plans for project completion and turnover. For those with union projects and employees, reviews and approves the balance of forepersons, journeymen, and laborer’s composite labor rates. Maintains continuous, open communication with the firm’s management, clients, and subcontractors. Advises concerned stakeholders regarding project status including, but not limited to construction challenges or delays, supply chain issues, and/or start-up issues.
