Supervisor, Foster Care and Adoption Services

The Supervisor, Foster Care and Adoption Services (SFCAS) is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Adoptions, Foster Care Services, and for providing clinical leadership. This position provides direct supervision to the four Foster Care and Adoption Workers in Yellowknife and will report directly to the Manager of Placement Resources, Child and Youth Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide territorial leadership for foster care and adoption services across the NWT.
• Advance cultural safety, customary care, and continuous quality improvement in partnership with Indigenous Governments and system partners.
• Lead engagement with foster caregivers, adoptive parents, communities, and stakeholders to improve service delivery.
