Summary This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Safety Service Unit, Safety Directorate, Safety Intelligence & Response Group. This Group ensures the timely dissemination of accurate and unbiased information regarding significant events that occur within the National Airspace System (NAS). Responsibilities The AJI Joint Air Traffic Operations Command (JATOC) Team Manager applies advanced knowledge of National Airspace System (NAS) technical systems, operations and procedures to direct and manage a staff of geographically dispersed aviation experts and ad hoc interdisciplinary operational teams responsible for evaluating procedural and failures of air traffic control processes, communication, and/or other types of air traffic practices during highly complex aircraft accident/incident investigations, near mid-air collision reports, and incidents which receive significant media interest.
