Summary This position is located in Region 9, Mitigation Division. The ideal candidate for this position will experience in delivering regulatory flood hazard data to communities, has a proven track record of leadership, and strong program management and communication skills. Responsibilities What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will support the implementation of policies, regulations and guidance to mitigate the impact of floods, and supporting multi-hazard risk reduction initiatives through Federal, State, Tribal and local government entities.Typical assignments include: Advising senior leaders on the implementation of the floodplain mapping program (Risk MAP), which helps assess and plan for flood risks. Working with stakeholders to plan and guide the flood mapping program over several years, while also managing the branch's annual multi-million-dollar budget.
