Supervisory General Engineer (Ops Supervisor)

Summary These positions are located in the Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) Region offices. The employee serves as an Operations Supervisor and exercises direction over the activities of region staff to effectively promote, implement, and administer the pipeline safety program of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). Responsibilities As a Supervisory General Engineer (Ops Supervisor), you will: Supervise the work of a team of region staff engineers (4-8) whose full performance level is GS-13 or higher who perform inspections and other program duties. Perform the full range of first-line technical and administrative supervisory responsibilities. Interpret and apply Federal regulations and monitoring requirements to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of natural gas and hazardous liquid pipeline systems of operators.
