Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Compensation) in the Recruitment and Compensation Department of the Fleet Human Resources Office of FLEET HRO NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will serve as the Supervisory HR Specialist for Recruitment and Placement, providing administrative and technical supervision to the assigned staff. You will assist in developing short- and long-range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses, and changes in critical competencies. You will provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, the development and use of valid selection criteria, and other approaches that may help in staffing the organization.
