At DP World, we believe a diverse team is a strong team. We are looking for motivated people from all backgrounds, including women, to join our Fremantle operations as a Casual or Supplementary Stevedore.
Our workforce is readily available 24/7 to provide our customers with seamless access to terminal facilities in Australia around the clock. In this this role you will be required to work shift work, across 7 days a week. You will be notified of your shifts 1 day in advance by calling an automated phone system or checking online. You will be initially employed on a casual basis with no guarantee of shifts.
As a General Stevedore you will work outdoors. You will perform three main tasks:
Lashing – This is the use of heavy rigging equipment to secure shipping containers to the deck of a ship. Due to the physical requirements of this work, you will be required to demonstrate you can safely lift steel lashing bars (up to approx 23kg) and pass a 'lashing bar lifting...
