The Role
The primary role of the Supply Chain Planner in HMT is to ensure mapping of the global supplier market to reflect the best cost-effective opportunities for the company to source materials for projects and the best transportation options to arrange transfer of goods.
You will monitor stock, order raw materials, achieve the best prices through negotiations with vendors and ensure timely delivery of orders. Responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports ( on orders and costs.) Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical and organizational skills to make sure you are identifying the most profitable offers and global transportation options.
