Supply Technician

Summary This position serves as a Supply Technician at the James A. Lovell FHCC, North Chicago, IL and is responsible to assure that adequate supplies are on hand to provide prosthetic equipment to patients. Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Supply Management Maintains stock at clinical areas located throughout the hospital for non-recurring clinical prosthetic items. Monitors expiration dates, rotates stock to limit outdates and removes items from use as required by outdates. Checks inventory for stock identified for recalled items and hazard alerts; ensures critical supplies are appropriately monitored and controlled, resolving deviations when possible, and escalating significant deviations to the supervisor. Performs routine inventory checks by using bar coding equipment on a predetermined schedule that will allow for timely replenishment orders.
