Support and Engagement Worker

We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Health Service as a Support and Engagement worker – Outreach team.

Are you passionate about supporting people with substance use issues and making a real difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our community? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Substance Use Outreach & Engagement Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Middlesbrough.

This role provides flexible, trauma-informed support to people affected by substance use, many of whom face multiple challenges including housing issues, mental and physical ill health, offending behaviour, and social exclusion.

You will work creatively across a range of community settings, including outreach locations, service users’ homes, partner organisations, prisons, and courts, to reduce barriers to treatment and promote positive engagement.
