POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME (Mon – Fri, 4 pm – 12 am)

Background:


The Support Mentor – Ensures the safety of all residents and staff, performing such duties as screening telephone calls, monitoring the entrance, securing the building, and undertaking rounds as required. The incumbent will act in accordance with the Ma Mawi Code of Honour and Astum Api Niikinaahk’s service philosophy of providing trauma-informed harm reduction support and assistance to our residents. They will encourage the residents to view themselves as a critical part of the Astum Api Niikinaahk community.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Fosters a sense of home and community at Astum Api Niikinaahk.

  • Creates opportunities that fulfill the Astum Api Niikinaahk Housing goals of Belonging and Influence.
