The Surgical Technologist Trainee is utilizing skills learned through a recognized Career Pathways Academic Program. The program will combine work-based, on-the-job learning with relevant technical education in the classroom to start on a career path that continues after high school graduation.

Under the direction of the Career Pathways Academic Program, will be responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients in accordance with those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and has demonstrated competency. Trainees will only be expected to perform provisions of care for which they have received training and instruction as directed by the Career Pathways Academic Program.
