Manager, Environmental and Social Safeguards
Educational Background
Masters degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Social Sciences, International Development or a related discipline.
Additional certifications (e.g., ISO 14001 or EIA-related accreditations, social safeguards training) are an advantage.
Professional Experience
At least 10 years of relevant work experience environmental and social safeguards or related field/s across infrastructure, energy, financial, or development sectors.
Demonstrated experience in managing or providing technical leadership on projects for private sector or IFI-financed initiatives, including
Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs/EIA)
Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD)
Preparation and implementation of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) and corrective action plans
Climate Risk Assessment (CRA)
