Job Description
Enhance food security and economic development for Indigenous communities. Collaborate on research and strategy implementation for long-term sustainable agribusiness within unique social contexts.
As the Economic Development Advisor, you will report to the Director of ICEDO. You will support the transition of the Inuvialuit Reindeer Herd Initiative into a successful Indigenous agribusiness, combining traditional knowledge with modern economic practices. Work alongside community members, Elders, and various stakeholders to facilitate research and engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Document knowledge from community engagement efforts
• Assist in strategic planning for agribusiness development
• Conduct research and analyze results for project implementation
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government
• Facilitate community involvement in development processes
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in economic development or agriculture
