Sustaining Process Engineer

Summary

/Objective: The Sustaining Process Engineer evaluates existing processes and configures manufacturing systems to reduce costs, improve sustainability, improve quality, and develop best practices within the production process. The main focus of the Sustaining Process Engineer’s work is on maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot tooling and processes to support Ops, Quality, and Engineering

Responsible for maintaining/updating System Rates including performing time studies and identifying optimum tooling setups

Responsible for maintaining/updating process documentation, including PICS and other documentation

Participates in and provides general input in the transfer process for machines and products
