System Administrator

The City of Grande Prairie Police Service is looking for a dedicated System Administrator to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and support all aspects of technology infrastructure including Azure data center, network, security, radio, etc and business applications.
• Design, install, maintain and support hardware and software for network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewall, battery backups, WAN, VLAN, Wi‑Fi, indoor and outdoor wireless network, Internet services, Point to point, VoIP, QoS configuration, VPN, video surveillance, body cam and other technology services.
• Manage storage area network (SAN), SAN fabric and virtualization, application servers, databases, load balancers, monitor server systems performance and capacity, design and implement hardware and software for upgrades and expansion, and oversee vendor installation and software licenses.
