A Systems Analyst's documentation role involves acting as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, creating detailed records like system requirements, process flows (flowcharts, diagrams), technical specifications, user manuals, and test plans, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business goals for system design, implementation, and maintenance, while also managing documentation for changes and troubleshooting.
Core Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Interview users, analyze current processes, and document business needs using techniques like use cases and data flow diagrams.
System Design Documentation: Create detailed specifications, flowcharts, diagrams, and data models for new or enhanced systems, defining scope and objectives.
Testing & Implementation: Document test plans and test cases, record test results, and document procedures for system rollout.
