System Engineer (3D CAD,Product Development)

Responsibilities

• Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary.
• Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers.
• Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures.
• Govern and drive cost efficiencies:
• Through system design optimization during the design phase,
• By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing.
• Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities.
• Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures.
• Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization.
