Who are we? Avio is an international organization, leader in the development and production of space launchers, solid and liquid propulsion systems, as well as tactical missile systems. Avio premises are located in Italy, France and French Guyana with 5 sites and more than 1000 employees. AVIO professionals are highly qualified, and 30% of them are involved in R&D activities.
What do we do? AVIO is leader in space propulsion and launchers sectors, thanks to more than 50 years of activities in such fields. In particular, Avio group act as prime contractor for VEGA program and as sub-contractor for Ariane program, both financed by European Space Agency (“ESA”), making Italy one of the few countries in the world in which space transportation systems are designed and produced.
