Tax Director Role at Brookfield

Lead tax compliance for Brookfield Real Estate Group as a Tax Director in Toronto. Oversee audits and provide strategic guidance for our global real estate portfolio.
This senior role reports to the Vice President of Taxation, managing tax compliance, provisions, and audits for a diverse real estate investment portfolio. The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and experience in high-volume compliance processes while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance tax strategies and streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Canadian tax compliance and return preparation
• Coordinate responses to CRA audit inquiries
• Support maintenance of complex legal structures
• Assist in quarterly tax provision preparation
• Engage in M&A transactions and tax projections
Requirements:
• CPA and Master of Taxation or CPA In-Depth Tax Course
• 8+ years of corporate tax experience
• Deep expertise in IFRS and US GAAP
