About the role
Sheffield City Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Qualified Teacher of the Deaf to join the Deaf /Hearing Support Service. This is a full-time post supporting profoundly d/Deaf children and young people, predominantly in our integrated resource provision at Silverdale, across Key Stages 3 and 4 and Post-16. The role will focus on improving access to learning and supporting examination studies. The role may also include peripatetic support for d/Deaf learners in post-16 settings across the city and may involve supporting students at GCSE and A level.
You will join a well-established specialist service that includes a peripatetic team and four integrated resources within mainstream primary and secondary schools.
