Position Summary
Teaching Assistants will support first-year medical students in thoracic anatomy dissections as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry curriculum (total of 29 hours: 22 hours of dissection laboratory teaching, 4 hours of review sessions, and 3 hours of exam-related activities). They must demonstrate strong teaching skills in the anatomy lab and effectively guide students through thoracic dissections, including the thoracic wall, pleura, lungs, tracheobronchial tree, heart, and mediastinum. Responsibilities include leading twelve (12) dissection laboratory sessions (one 3‑hour session and eleven 2‑hour sessions). In addition, Teaching Assistants will participate in the supervision and facilitation of 2 anatomy review sessions (2 hours each), and assist with the preparation (2 hours) and invigilation (1 hour) of the anatomy lab exam (total of 3 hours).
