Overview
The Technical Officer – Family Planning & Maternal Newborn and Child Health (FP/MNCH) will support the county-level implementation of The Challenge Initiative (TCI) in Kenya, with a primary focus on collaboration with county governments and partners to strengthen their health programs.
Reporting to the Senior Field Coordinator, the Technical Officer will provide hands-on coaching and technical assistance to County and Sub-county HMTs and health facilities to improve service quality, and accelerate the adoption and institutionalization of evidence-based FP/MNCH high impact interventions to achieve scale and sustainability. The role emphasizes day-to-day implementation, capacity strengthening, supportive supervision, coaching and routine use of data for decision-making in alignment with TCI's business unusual model.
Responsibilities
- Support counties to operationalize FP/MNCH work plans at facility, sub-county, and community levels.
