Technical Purchaser

Role Summary : To have responsibility for the efficient operation of the ships to which he/she has been assigned and to work as a member of the Ship Management Team operating to Company procedures and best ship management practices whilst always giving absolute regard to safety of life at sea and protection of the environment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure Health and Safety is always adhered to.

Role and Responsibilities
When receiving requests from vessel, send RFQ to various suppliers for quotation.
Compare prices in our purchasing system DNV and submit for vessel manager approval.
Once the order is approved, send an order the supplier and follow up delivery to the warehouse or vessel.
When the order is delivered onboard/ warehouse, follow up for the invoice and approve in DNV for payment.
Coordinate with accounts for any issues and resolve them from time to time.
