Job Description

As the Technician - Data Center, you will be responsible for effectively performing assigned tasks in a data center, including general datacenter, servers and network devices setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly sweeps of server and storage equipment in the data center, detecting hardware and network connectivity issues; collect and analyze ipmi-sel data and vendor-specific platform management logs
  • Diagnose server and storage equipment connectivity issues, including basic troubleshooting of network transceiver and optical fiber signal strength problems, using tools and procedures established in the data center
  • Use collected diagnostic information to engage vendor support organizations (HPE, Dell, IX, by opening support cases and following up on hardware fixes and investigations as requested
