Technician, Operating Room (Pakistan)

Aga Khan University Hospital is recruiting a Technician, Operating Room based in Pakistan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Receiving and correctly identifying patients for surgery/procedures.
2. Checking the patient’s schedule for surgery in the Operating Room and taking over the patient’s file.
3. Completing all perioperative documentation related to the patient’s surgery.
4. Ensuring all specimens removed during surgery are correctly labeled and dispatched for necessary investigations as advised by the surgeon.
5. Scrubbing for designated cases, demonstrating competence in different areas as per the hospital's scope of services.
6. Assisting in the safe transportation of patients within the unit before and after surgery.
7. Reporting any equipment problems to the supervisor immediately for timely rectification.
