The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing emergency medical care and hospital transport to citizens calling 911. The EMT classification represents a high level of urgent response treatment care provided for out of hospital medical or traumatic emergencies. EMTs must possess the following qualifications: EMT Certification, CPR Certification, and Emergency Vehicle Operations Course Certification. Work responsibilities extend to monitoring and ordering supplies and emergency vehicle inspection and maintenance.
