Position: Ditch Maintenance / Repair

Reports To: Water Master

Status: Temporary

General Description

Under general supervision, works as a member of a crew to efficiently perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on the water system and other facilities; performs other related work as required.

Essential Functions

• Performs maintenance on ditches, pipelines, flumes, siphons, weirs, easements, and meters, and conducts repairs as needed.
• Removes debris, objects, and obstructions from open ditches.
• Clears brush and fells trees.
• Operates hand and power tools and equipment.
• Assists with operation of gunite machine; handles and maneuvers conveyor hose.
