Thesis Worker

Introduction:

Steady Energy is a Finnish technology company developing next-generation nuclear heating solutions for clean and affordable district heating. We are now looking for a Thesis Worker to join our LDR-50 reactor core simulation and control development work, focusing on implementing and testing control rod movement logic in a Linux environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with reactor physics tools and dynamic plant modelling while producing a master's thesis as part of the project. The expected start date is August 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Educate yourself with the design bases, design and kinetic behavior of the LDR-50 reactor core.
• Familiarize yourself with the reactor physics simulation software (CASMO5, SIMULATE5) utilized in the LDR-50 core simulations.
• Develop, implement and test the control rod movement logic of the LDR-50 reactor power controller in a Linux environment.
