Job Description

Overview

To maintain world class standards at the facility, proper maintenance and handling of potato germplasm, periodic DNA finger printing and virus tests of all the clones to maintain genetic purity and health. Timely multiplication of plantlets to fulfill seed pipeline requirement and identification of key supplier and sustain relationship with them Suppliers/stakeholders

Responsibilities

Ensuring world class standards are being maintained at the facilityEstablish relationship with NARC and Frito-Lay, USA to have SOPs for media preparation, handling lab, growth room and germplasm conservationExecute protocols and SOPs to maintain sanitation, handling glass wares and media preparation operations
Ensure proper maintenance and handling of potato germplasm.Arrange for long term preservation of all the potato clonesArrange for maintenance of all the germplasm lines by periodic sub-culturing
