TMSU Board Chairperson Needed

Drive governance as the Chairperson of the Board at the Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union. This part-time role offers a flexible commitment of 2 to 10 hours a week.
The Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union (TMSU) is inviting applications for the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. In this role, you will lead Board meetings, promote collaboration among members, and ensure that governance practices align with policies. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is vital in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Board meetings and General Members' meetings
• Collaborate on meeting agenda creation
• Ensure inclusive facilitation and voting processes
• Act as a liaison for Board members on issues
• Assign committee chairs and encourage participation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years in non-profit settings
• 3 to 5 years as a facilitator or Chairperson
