Town Centre Engineer / Council Engineer

Job Description

Our Client is currently recruiting for a Town Centre Engineer to maintain and develop the public realm in Cambridge town centre and to design and undertake environmental improvements across the Borough. It is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the ongoing redevelopment of the town centre and maintenance of high quality public areas for the benefit of residents, business and visitors to Cambridge.

Their new Engineer will be leading a small team to improve the quality of the local environment and the public realm, through management/maintenance of the highway infrastructure and implementing individual projects around Cambridge Town Centre.

Their ideal candidate will have experience in implementing civil highways and traffic management construction schemes and also in consultation and events. In addition you will be confident managing both projects and people and representing the Council at public meetings.
