Traffic Operations & Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Traffic Operations and Safety, this position supports the delivery of road safety and traffic operations initiatives across the Regional road network, with a strong emphasis on data‑driven decision‑making.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Comprehensive Road Safety Action Plan (CROSAP), including network screening, collision analysis, and identification of high‑risk locations.
• Conduct safety reviews and develop recommendations, including engineering, education, and enforcement‑related measures.
• Coordinate and support implementation of safety improvements such as signal timing adjustments, signage enhancements, and intersection modifications.
• Support the Drive Safe program through the development and implementation of public education campaigns, including initiatives focused on U‑turn safety and e‑scooter awareness and roundabout uses.
