Job Description

Summary
To lead and manage the organ coordination unit activities and resources of pre and post transplant evaluation and follow up of care for solid organ recipients and donors.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Organizing and supervising the daily activities of the organ coordination section. Including pre-transplant assessments, consultations, recipient inclusion on the waiting list, admission/discharge from hospital, organ procurement, donation activities from deceased and living donors and follow up plans.
Developing and revising protocols, policies and procedures of organ coordination.
Liaising and coordinating collaborative efforts of the organ coordination section with other teams within the OTC, other KFSH&RC departments and other institutions to ensure optimum healthcare provision for transplant recipients and organ donors and facilitate identification and resolution of issues related to the coordination services.
