Transport Controller

ob Purpose

The Transport Controller will be responsible for coordinating and managing all outsourced transport providers to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods to and from the warehouse. The role focuses on planning, coordination, compliance, and performance monitoring of subcontracted transporters in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily transport requirements with approved outsourced transporters
• Allocate loads to subcontractors in line with operational priorities and service-level agreements (SLAs)
• Communicate delivery instructions, routes, and timeframes to transport providers
• Monitor vehicle movements and delivery status and follow up on delays or deviations
• Ensure accurate receipt and return of transport documentation (delivery notes, PODs, weighbridge tickets, trip sheets)
