Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Transport Planners to join a busy automotive logistics operation based in Ryton-on-Dunsmore. This is a fast-paced role supporting transport operations and vehicle movements across the UK.

The successful candidates will play a key role in coordinating transport activity, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring effective communication across the wider transport team.

The Role:


As a Transport Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and booking daily transport movements

  • Sourcing cost-effective transport solutions through subcontract hauliers

  • Requesting the correct transport equipment based on customer requirements

  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and service levels

  • Planning transport activity in line with driver rules and regulations
