Job Description

We are currently seeking a Tyre Fitter at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
About the role:
As an OTR Tyre Fitter, you’ll play a vital role on the maintenance team by ensuring equipment is operationally ready to meet production targets. Reporting to the Tyre Bay Supervisor, you’ll deliver a safety focussed and high-quality service to Peabody’s mining equipment, helping to keep our fleet running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical maintenance and tyre repairs on light, medium and heavy vehicles performed in a safe and productive manner;
Tread depth measurements, pressure readings and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment;
