**Responsibilities**

+ Performs duties as a male detention officer related to detention, searching of male detainees, processing, safeguarding, security, and escort of detainees as required in the contract.
+ Exercises surveillance and control over male detainees and maintains order and discipline.
+ Attends to male housing units, feeding, lavatories and the physical well-being of detainees, 24 hours a day.
+ Makes official entries in the assigned post logbooks that are legible and complete.
+ Enforces rules and regulations of the detention facility.
+ Provides care, custody and control of detainees.
+ Removes detainees from holding areas using proper restraints and security measures.
