Underwriter - Accident & Health (Norway)

Role Overview

AIG is looking for an Underwriter to join our Nordic Accident & Health team in Oslo. The role involves taking ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients ranging from SME to multinational corporations, building direct relationships with Norwegian insurance brokers, and working closely with local distribution colleagues to ensure AIG remains the preferred partner.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and assess risks, set terms for renewals, and price new business.
• Act as a key contact point for brokers in the Norwegian market, ensuring AIG is top‑of‑mind when they place business.
• Help grow the pipeline by identifying opportunities and delivering quick, commercially sound solutions.
• Navigate a global environment with internal and external stakeholders, managing deadlines and ensuring a customer‑first approach.
• Tie independent ownership of underwriting challenges and resolve them professionally.
