Unit Coordinator - Geropsych - Full Time 8 Hour Day Shift (Union)(Fixed Term)

The Unit Coordinator performs clinical and communication functions on assigned nursing unit. She/He provides courteous reception on the nursing unit and arranges and coordinates activities for patient care.


Minimum Education: High School or equivalent


Minimum Experience: 1 year Experience as a Unit Clerk with computer skillsMinimum Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word as well as Internet access and utilization.Knowledge of Medical Terminology.Appropriate Telephone Skills.

Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart AssociationAB508 (Management of Assaultive Behavior) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
