Job Description
Agnico Eagle is seeking a Shaft Miner at the Upper Beaver mine site. This role supports mining and construction with a focus on safety and teamwork.
As a crucial member of the Shaft Sinking Department, you will report to the Shaft Supervisor and take on responsibilities that involve operating equipment and maintaining safety standards. Your work will help fulfill project goals while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company values. Effective communication with team members is key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute daily plans from the shaft leader
• Operate and maintain vertical mucker (VSM)
• Lower concrete form and pour concrete lining
• Install ventilation and guides in the shaft
• Perform shaft station excavation
Requirements:
• At least 4 years of experience in shaft sinking
• Strong teamwork skills and self-starting ethic
• Ability to follow safety codes and company policies
