Urgent & Emergency Care General Manager

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, and professionally accountable to the Divisional Director, the General Manager is responsible for the operational and strategic management of a large, complex directorate across the Trust. The post holder leads service delivery and improvement at scale, managing multiple services/sites, and influencing regional and system-wide developments.

The post holder will lead the service delivery and improvement within a single directorate, ensuring high‑quality care and efficient use of resources, and ensuring the directorate provides high‑quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and delivery of people and financial metrics.
